Kind Hearts Day Care Partnerships
Kind Hearts has many partnerships that help better the lives of the children. These partnerships are in the best interest of the children. They offer lots of resources to the families, children, and myself included.
Providers Choice Food Program Since 2002
Providers Choice (USDA Food Program) has been in the U.S. since 1985. The program offers quality training and support, resources, recipes, and curriculum to all family child care providers that participate with the program. Kids gain from having the program involved in the programs because they learn healthy eating habits. Parents gain from having the program in their family child care because their children are served nutritious meals. Providers also gain from having the program involved in their program because they receive delicious, kid friendly recipes, fast and affordable meal ideas, tips on raising healthy eaters, and helpful information on children’s issues.
Tami Bruns Music Since 2010
Music has the ability to allow all children who are not always capable of correctly expressing their needs through speech to communicate with others through movement, using song and dance. Music can help children build confidence. Repetition of songs is a joy for very young children, and they thrive on being able to recognize familiar tunes and patterns. Learning a song and being able to sing independently is a source of pride for a child. Music also gives young children another way to express themselves through activity and sound.
Music encourages children to be active. Young children love to dance and move expressively to music. Playing instruments can also aid in development of spatial reasoning, hand-eye coordination and fine motor control. There are percussion instruments for infants to experiment with, but children can be ready to play a melodic instrument as young as age three. Singing and musical stories can help children with vocabulary and reading skills, understanding lyrics and word play. Exposure to a wide vocabulary through music can help children learn to communicate verbally and make learning to read more fun.
